Using Greeting Card Blanks
1
Find a suitable design for your greeting cards. Look on the Internet and in books, magazines for suitable images and designs. You can also draw your design freehand
if you have the confidenc and knowhow.
2
Purchase greeting card blanks on which to draw or trace your chosen design, or make your own greeting cards from card stock paper.
3
Draw or trace your design onto the greeting card blanks with a pencil. Use a black, fine-tipped permanent marker or paint pen to trace over the pencil lines. Allow markings to dry before painting.
4
Unfold greeting card blanks so that they lie flat on your work surface, with the drawn or traced design facing up. The cards will be easier to paint if they are positioned this way.
5
Use watercolour paints, or other craft paints to colour the images on your note cards. Use glitter and metallic paints to embellish your designs as well. Allow paint to dry thoroughly before folding note cards.
6 Add any greeting or message to the inside of your cards.
Write your message with a calligraphy pen or a black or metallic
medium-point permanent marker.
This particular page has paintings relating to
landscapes and seascapes, from flowers to tranquil palmed beaches, moorland farms, lakes
and sunsets.
Most of my greetings cards are universal and so can be sent for any occasion. All you have to do is
choose the one you like and think of a personal message and or greeting you wish to have printed inside.
Your personal message can be as small or as large as you like and in any type font you
like all at no additional cost.
You may order as few or as many of the
same card as you like, however you must be aware that the cards are original watercolours not prints, so there will be some variances between each
greeting card in terms of minor detail and colour differences.
Each card will come with a good quality envelope and will be sealed in a
cellophane envelope. If you are not totally satisfied you may return the cards
for a full refund.
